Why We Started The Peacock Palette

A beginning rooted in color, craft, and intention

Every brand has a spark. Ours began long before we even knew it, in homes that moved often, and in colors that stayed.

We grew up in Navy and Army families, which meant change was constant. New cities, new addresses, new rhythms. Yet our homes always found a way to feel familiar. Our mothers made sure of that.

In every place we lived, they brought home handmade pieces from local artisans. Tapestries on the walls. Cushions with mirror work and embroidery. A block printed fabric here, a woven throw there. Slowly, our homes gathered layers of pattern and texture, each one tied to a different chapter. Nothing was set aside. It all became part of how our homes were lived in.

Color was always present. Not loud, but expressive and warm. Each piece carried a story. Each room felt personal. Without realizing it, we learned that a home could move and still carry continuity through craft and color.

Years later, living in the United States, we found ourselves looking at home decor differently. The spaces we saw were beautiful. Polished. Calm. Often shaped by soft whites and beige tones. Yet something felt missing.

Many homes looked similar. Carefully styled, but distant. We missed the warmth of handmade work. The small imperfections. The feeling of knowing something was made slowly, by hand.

We kept returning to the same question.

What if Indian craftsmanship could belong in modern, everyday living? Not as something formal or nostalgic, but as pieces meant to be lived with.

That question became the beginning of The Peacock Palette.

Color has always been our compass. Peacocks arrive fully, unapologetically vibrant. They remind us that beauty is meant to be seen, lived with, and celebrated. In a world that leans toward muted tones, we wanted to bring back color that feels alive.

A palette is personal. It is where creativity begins. Our pieces are small batch, handcrafted home decor designed to bring quiet joy into your space. Intentional. Honest. Made by skilled Indian artisans who have spent their lives practicing their craft.

We are building something slow and considered. Not a big brand with giant warehouses, but a small bridge between heritage and modern homes, between makers and users, between memory and the everyday.

This is just the start. Thank you for being here at the beginning of our story.
