Baithak: A Season of Gathering

Introducing our fall collection, currently taking shape through color, print, and the idea of gathering.

Rangmanch was our first collection, and in many ways, it did exactly what its name suggested. It set the stage.

As we began thinking about what would come next, we had the experience of one collection behind us. We knew ourselves a little better, were more confident in our choices, and had a clearer sense of what we wanted to explore.

This time, we found ourselves thinking about fall.

Not fall interpreted too literally, but the shift that comes with it. Richer colors, longer evenings indoors, and a season that, for us, also begins to move toward festive months. Homes start to feel fuller. There are dinners and celebrations, people dropping in, tables being set, and more reasons to sit together.

We wanted our next collection to live somewhere between those two worlds: the warmth and richness of fall, and the color and energy of celebration.

That feeling led us to Baithak ✨

In Hindi language, baithak is a place for sitting together. But the word holds more than its literal meaning. We know it as a space where conversations run long, someone drops in and stays for dinner, people move closer to make room, and an ordinary evening can turn into a gathering without much planning at all.

It is less about the room itself and more about what happens within it. That is the feeling we are building this collection around. Right now, Baithak is still taking shape.

We are working with deeper, richer colors and patterns that can hold their own while still sitting comfortably beside one another. We don't want everything to match. We want the collection to feel layered, the way a home naturally becomes more personal over time.

There is a festive energy running through it too, but we don't want these pieces to belong only to an occasion. The hope is to find that balance between celebration and everyday life, where color can feel special without needing a special day.

And, as we learned with our first collection, what begins on a screen does not always stay exactly the same once it reaches the workshop.

Designs meet carved blocks. Colors meet linen. Proportions change. Something we were certain about may need another look, while another idea can surprise us completely. We are getting better at leaving room for that.

There are still decisions ahead, details to work through before Baithak is ready to leave the workshop. For now, this is where we are: somewhere between the idea and the finished collection, watching Baithak slowly become itself. And we wanted to bring you into the story before it was finished.
